Jesse’s long experience in tech spans music, real estate / building systems (Perceptive Things), transportation (Citi Bike, where he helped author GBFS, the bikeshare data-sharing standard), commerce and more. And because he believes that his work can make the greatest difference when he can enter a problem space early, he was especially excited to join Skillit at a time when the construction industry has not yet adopted scaleable, long-term solutions to the skilled labor crisis.
“Skillit is a purpose-driven company. We’re not just building software, we’re solving the skilled worker shortage by more effectively connecting employers with the right workers for the right jobs at the right time,” said our CEO Fraser Patterson. “Jesse understands the impact we can have on real people’s lives by creating transformative technology that improves employer-employee fit and in doing so increases job longevity and satisfaction.”
Fun facts about Jesse: he is a founding trustee of the NYC chapter of the Awesome Foundation, a global micro giving movement and was also the co-organizer of GORUCO, the New York City Ruby programming software conference, for more than ten years.
