As a General Laborer or General Labor Foreman, you will be responsible for many construction site tasks including cleanup, moving equipment, bringing supplies and other tasks deemed necessary. The foremen will be responsible for management of these tasks, ensuring safety and making schedules.

Salary Range General Labor: $15 - $22 per hour depending on experience

Salary Range General Labor Foremen: $18 - $28 per hour depending on experience

General Laborer

Here’s what Skillit needs from you:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment and demolition work

• Lift and/or pull 75lbs., climb ladders, work off ladders, man lifts or other equipment

• Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time, fully squat, bend or kneel while wearing a tool belt

• Capable of working in a variety of weather conditions

• Adhere to all OSHA and Swinerton safety practices and procedures

• Support activities at all Swinerton job-sites as directed

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Maintain a clean and safe jobsite by removing debris and organizing work areas

• Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment around the site

• Assist skilled trades with basic support tasks and jobsite setup

• Perform demolition and cleanup as needed, including hauling materials away

• Use basic hand and power tools safely (as assigned)

• Follow all safety rules, wear PPE, and report hazards to supervisors

• Help with staging deliveries and keeping materials stocked for crews

Labor Foreman

Here’s what Skillit needs from you:

• High school diploma or GED

• 2+ years of construction experience

• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Previous data center experience preferred

• Experience leading crews of 10-15+ personnel on jobsite of values $50-$100M+ preferred

• In-depth understanding of construction principles and procedures

• Ability to read construction drawings

• Excellent organizational and leadership skills

• Ability to communicate and report effectively

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans

• Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew

• Allocate general and daily responsibilities

• Supervise and train workers

• Ensure manpower and resources are adequate

• Ensure that all safety precautions and quality standards are met

• Resolve problems when they arise

• Report on progress to Superintendent
