  • Operate and manage the Building Management System (BMS) to control HVAC and electrical systems across campus.
  • Test, inspect, and document campus fire/life‑safety systems (fire alarm panels, suppression, sprinklers, pumps) per NFPA 72 and coordinate with contractors/Fire Marshal.
  • Perform conduit runs, wire pulls, wiring terminations, control wiring and installation of motor starters and overcurrent devices.
  • Oversee locking systems, lift station inspections and logs, preventive maintenance tasks, and maintain accurate maintenance records and inventories.
  • Respond to on‑call emergencies (24/7 rotation), assist with severe weather prep and property reopening, and travel up to 10% for projects or vendor coordination.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial electrical/maintenance operations with hands‑on troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC and NFPA code requirements and experience maintaining compliance for electrical and fire/life‑safety systems.
  • Experience operating and troubleshooting Building Management Systems (BMS) and fire alarm/suppression systems (NFPA 72).
  • Skilled with conduit runs, wire pulls, motor starters, contactors, control wiring, and reading technical drawings/blueprints.
  • Ability to mentor and train junior maintenance staff, work independently, and coordinate with contractors and inspectors.
  • Must be able to perform physical work, pass a third‑party skills and physical abilities evaluation, and participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years commercial electrical/maintenance experience
  • Working knowledge of NEC and NFPA (including NFPA 72)
  • Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and fire/life‑safety testing
  • Able to pass a skills and physical abilities evaluation
  • Required languages: English and Spanish
  • Certifications (as available): NABCEP suite (PVIP, PVIS, PVDS, PVCMS, PVSI, PV Install/Design/Commissioning related certs), NABCEP Solar Heating & Wind associate certs, OSHA 62

What We Offer

  • Full‑time or part‑time scheduling options; predictable onsite campus assignment
  • 24/7 on‑call rotation with emergency response responsibilities

  • Limited travel (up to 10%) — most work is onsite at a single campus
  • Work in a team focused on steady preventive maintenance and clear documentation processes
