As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining manual and CNC machines to produce precision parts.

Salary Range Roofers: $25 - $30 per hour depending on experience

Here’s what Skillit needs from you:

• Minimum 3+ years of professional machining experience.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

• Skilled in using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

• Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Commitment to quality, accuracy, and safety in all work performed.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Set up, operate, and maintain manual and CNC machines to produce precision metal or plastic parts.

• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to ensure accurate production.

• Measure, examine, and test completed parts for defects and conformance to specifications using precision instruments.

• Adjust machine controls and tool settings to keep production within tolerances.

• Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.

• Maintain accurate production records and adhere to safety protocols.

• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes.

• Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
