About the Role
We are looking for a digital marketing ninja to join our team as the first hire reporting directly to our Head of Marketing. Skillit is growing rapidly so we need a marketer who is just as comfortable getting their hands dirty writing social copy as they are building a high-level strategy for paid and organic campaigns. You will be an integral part of a growing team responsible for worker acquisition, customer lead generation, content strategy, production and publishing, agency management, communications and PR and overall brand strategy. You might consider yourself a “growth marketer,” “digital marketer” or perhaps even a “content marketer.” At Skillt, you’ll do it all.

What You’ll Do
- Manage a content calendar and the production and publishing of individual franchises across both worker and customer acquisition including social content, long-form thought leadership, video and graphics
- Monitor paid media performance and collaborate with our agency to set, track and achieve specific acquisition goals each month
- Create, monitor and approve marketing analytics and reporting infrastructure including canned reporting from our martech stack as well as our custom DataStudio dashboards and BI tools
- Help manage marketing website including external design and dev teams, the creation of content and optimization of lead-generation points
- Help create, manage and track automed worker communications including automated emails and SMS messages
- Collaborate closely with Marketing’s Worker Success team to support communications with workers and the overall worker experience
- Help enable the sales team by creating and managing sales collateral and other aspects of the prospect experience
Who You Are
- You have 5+ years of experience building and operating successful digital marketing programs using both internal resources and external agencies
- You have experience implementing and using cutting edge martech like social management platforms (e.g. Sprout) and user engagement tools (e.g. Customer.io) and you have used or are at least familiar with analytics packages like DataStudio, Amplitude or Looker
- You are a solid writer and copy editor
- You know enough to be dangerous with Photoshop and Premiere, but you also know when to go to a creative team for better results
- You LOVE data and are driven to back up your intuition and your experiments with proof
- You are very comfortable working within a variety of CMS environments
- You are very comfortable working within user messaging / email marketing tools
- You are strategic and thoughtful but you also thrive on rapid experimentation and enjoy the process of testing, measuring and adapting
- You are a builder who looks forward to getting their hands dirty but also has experience building and managing teams of talented marketing professionals
- Ideally you have proven yourself in both startup and mature-company environments
- Although experience in construction is not required, you are passionate about Skillit’s mission and are excited to rapidly become an expert in our built world
