Professional communication

  • Communicate respectfully and professionally with Skillit customers and the Skillit team.

  • Use clear language in texts, calls, and messages.

Responsiveness

  • Respond to calls, texts, or messages from Skillit and employers as soon as you can.

  • If you miss a message, reply when you’re available so we can keep your opportunities moving.

Interview and meeting reliability

  • If you schedule an interview, call, or onsite meeting with an employer, be on time and prepared.

  • If you cannot make it, notify Skillit as early as possible so we can reschedule.

Reliability and follow-through

  • If you accept a role or commit to a start date, follow through and communicate immediately if plans change.

Skillit profile standards

  • Let your future employer know who you are. Your photo should be: Clear and well-lit, just you, no group photos, Neutral background if possible, Work-appropriate clothing. Avoid: Sunglasses, Hats pulled low, Blurry or dark images.

  • Provide accurate and honest information about your work experience, certifications, and availability.

  • Keep your contact information up to date. Your profile is only effective if employers can reach you. Make sure to update your profile whenever your contact information changes.
