Key responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, graders, compactors, haul trucks, backhoes, and cranes
Move earth, dig trenches, load and transport materials according to project plans
Conduct pre-use inspections and routine maintenance checks on machinery
Follow blueprints, site plans, and supervisor instructions accurately
Coordinate with site managers, engineers, and crew members to maintain workflow
Adhere strictly to OSHA and job-site safety regulations
Assist with physically demanding tasks when required (lifting/pushing/pulling 60+ lbs)
Operate equipment in varying weather conditions and exposure environments
Required qualifications
3+ years of experience in construction equipment operator jobs or related field
Proven experience operating earthmoving or excavation machinery
Valid CDL or heavy equipment operator certification preferred
Experience with asphalt pavers, skid steers, loaders, dump trucks, dozers, and utility excavators is highly valued
Ability to understand GPS equipment and grade control systems
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
Physical stamina for long shifts in demanding job-site conditions
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
