Key Responsibilities
Assemble, install, and repair underground water, sewer, and storm drainage pipes and fittings
Lay and secure metallic and PVC pipes including ductile iron, steel, and concrete
Prepare trenches by directing excavation, grading, and leveling for proper pipe placement
Assist equipment operators in guiding and setting pipes
Mount and operate pipe lasers and transits to ensure accurate installation
Perform leak testing and check installations to meet specifications
Measure, cut, and align piping systems according to project plans
Follow all safety protocols and job-site procedures
Required Qualifications
Proven experience installing large-diameter water, sewer, and storm drainage systems
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
Physical stamina to perform demanding construction tasks
Ability to follow directions and perform assigned duties efficiently
Willingness to pursue job-specific certifications if needed (e.g., OSHA 10, confined space training)
Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
