Building Services Technician (Carpenter)

What You'll Do

• • Perform general finish and rough carpentry: trim, doors, framing, blocking and millwork installation
• • Execute facility maintenance and repair work on interior and exterior commercial assets
• • Complete minor modifications and urgent construction repairs under tight timelines
• • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and work orders to plan tasks
• • Measure, cut and fit materials; operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• • Maintain clean, organized job sites and follow safety protocols at all times

What We're Looking For

• • Proven carpentry background with practical experience in finish and rough carpentry (2+ years preferred)
• • Able to read blueprints, technical drawings and follow work orders accurately
• • Knowledge of building codes, construction methods and common commercial materials
• • Strong verbal and written communication to coordinate with supervisors and other trades
• • Comfortable using measuring tools, saws, drills and common carpentry equipment
• • Able to lift, carry and move materials; reliable transportation to Austin job sites

Qualifications

• • High school diploma or GED preferred
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• • OSHA 10 (or OSHA 30 preferred) and ability to pass background/drug screen
• • Blueprint reading and measuring competency; NCCER or equivalent credentials a plus
• • English required; Spanish speaker a plus
