Building Services Technician (Carpenter)

Join our crew in Austin as a Building Services Technician specializing in commercial projects. You’ll perform facility maintenance, repairs, minor modifications and urgent construction tasks on specialized commercial sites. What You'll Do
- • Perform general finish and rough carpentry: trim, doors, framing, blocking and millwork installation
- • Execute facility maintenance and repair work on interior and exterior commercial assets
- • Complete minor modifications and urgent construction repairs under tight timelines
- • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and work orders to plan tasks
- • Measure, cut and fit materials; operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- • Maintain clean, organized job sites and follow safety protocols at all times
What We're Looking For
- • Proven carpentry background with practical experience in finish and rough carpentry (2+ years preferred)
- • Able to read blueprints, technical drawings and follow work orders accurately
- • Knowledge of building codes, construction methods and common commercial materials
- • Strong verbal and written communication to coordinate with supervisors and other trades
- • Comfortable using measuring tools, saws, drills and common carpentry equipment
- • Able to lift, carry and move materials; reliable transportation to Austin job sites
Qualifications
- • High school diploma or GED preferred
- • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- • OSHA 10 (or OSHA 30 preferred) and ability to pass background/drug screen
- • Blueprint reading and measuring competency; NCCER or equivalent credentials a plus
- • English required; Spanish speaker a plus
