Ideal candidates have solid commercial carpentry experience and proven commercial door/entrance installation work in healthcare or data center settings.

What You'll Do

  • Install commercial doors, frames, and hardware to project specifications in hospitals, data centers, and other commercial buildings
  • Read plans and measure job sites; lay out openings, prepare jambs, hang doors, and ensure proper clearances and thresholds
  • Install and adjust locks, closers, hinges, automatic operators, and access-control hardware; test operation and secure final hardware settings
  • Follow infection-control procedures and site-specific protocols when working in hospital and data center environments
  • Coordinate with general contractors, electricians, and other trades to sequence work and ensure on-time installation
  • Maintain tools and equipment, complete daily paperwork, report defects, and perform quality checks to meet code and project standards

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 3–5 years commercial carpentry or door/hardware installation experience, with documented work in hospitals or data centers
  • Proven experience installing commercial entrances, door hardware, and access-control components
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal code requirements related to fire-rated doors and accessibility (ADA)
  • Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and hardware schedules and follow installation instructions precisely
  • Capable of lifting heavy doors and hardware, using power and hand tools safely, and working from ladders/scaffolding
  • Reliable transportation for local travel to job sites, ability to pass background check and drug screen

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • OSHA-10 preferred (OSHA-30 a plus) or equivalent safety training
  • Experience with fire-rated door installations and ADA compliance
  • Ability to pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
  • English required; Spanish or other language skills a plus

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay (DOE) with overtime available
  • Health, dental, and vision options for eligible employees
  • 401(k) plan or retirement savings program
  • Paid time off and holidays for eligible hires
  • Tool or boot allowance and reimbursement for required PPE
  • Training and certification support for door hardware and safety courses
