Finished Carpenter — Doors & Millwork

About this role

Join a commercial project team in Fulton, MD installing doors, frames, hardware and architectural millwork. You’ll work on AWW, PL and metal casework, fume hoods, DFH and other specialties on commercial job sites. We’re looking for mechanically inclined finish carpenters with 3–5 years’ experience who read blueprints, bring their own tools, follow site safety programs, and can work safely with minimal supervision.

What you'll do

• • Install commercial doors, frames, hardware and associated trim per plans and specs
• • Measure, fit and install AWW, PL and metal casework, fume hoods, DFH and misc. specialties
• • Preplan tools, materials and installation sequence for efficient, safe work
• • Read and follow blueprints, shop drawings and installation details
• • Maintain jobsite housekeeping, report hazards and follow site safety procedures
• • Work independently or with small crews to meet schedule milestones

What we're looking for

• • 3–5 years’ finished carpentry experience, including door/hardware and casework installation
• • Able to read and interpret blueprints and installation drawings
• • Mechanically inclined with strong measuring, cutting and layout skills
• • Supply your own basic finish carpentry hand tools
• • Physically able to climb ladders, stoop/kneel, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs
• • Able to work with minimal supervision and follow site safety rules

Qualifications

• • High school diploma or equivalent
• • 3–5 years’ experience as a finished carpenter
• • Union membership where applicable
• • Proven ability to lift 50 lbs and safely work from ladders and scaffolds
• • Own basic finish carpentry hand tools
• • OSHA 10 (or equivalent) preferred
