Carpenter (Commercial Construction)

About this role

Local commercial construction crews in West Palm Beach, FL are hiring experienced Carpenters to perform layout, framing and installation work on active job sites. You’ll build walls, install doors and windows, set platforms and install temporary protections while keeping work to quality and project tolerances. This is a hands-on role for someone who reads drawings, runs common carpentry tools, works safely around other trades, and can work independently or as part of a crew. Typical schedule is full-time, weekdays with occasional overtime and travel to West Palm Beach-area sites.

What you'll do

• • Perform layout, framing and installation of walls, doors, windows, platforms and interior partitions per drawings and specs
• • Install and maintain temporary structures: barricades, ramps, safety railings, and protection
• • Read and interpret construction drawings, field instructions and project specifications
• • Measure, cut and assemble wood, metal and other materials using saws, drills, levels and nail guns
• • Install hardware, blocking, backing and structural supports; check work to project tolerances
• • Maintain tools and equipment; keep work areas clean and follow site safety procedures

What we're looking for

• • 3+ years commercial carpentry experience preferred (rough and finish work)
• • Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
• • Proficient with common carpentry tools (saws, drills, levels, nail guns, measuring tools)
• • Able to lift 50+ lbs, work at heights and in active construction environments
• • Works independently with minimal supervision and communicates clearly with crew and supervisors

Qualifications

• • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred
• • 3+ years documented commercial carpentry experience
• • Ability to read technical drawings and perform accurate site layout
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to West Palm Beach job sites
• • English — able to follow verbal and written instructions on site
