Concrete Carpenter (Formwork)

About This Role

Experienced concrete carpenters needed in the Amarillo, TX area to build, set and strip concrete forms for commercial and government jobs. You’ll work hands-on with formwork systems, read drawings, measure and cut material, and ensure forms are square and secure for pours. This is a per diem position offering up to $26/hr. Expect to work on multi-day project sites with a crew — travel and per diem paid. We want reliable, safety-focused carpenters who can move fast, follow plans, and get quality formwork installed on schedule.

What You'll Do

• • Build, assemble and set concrete forms using lumber, plywood and form systems (including Doka-type equipment)
• • Read and interpret construction drawings, specs and as-built notes to lay out formwork
• • Measure, mark and cut materials accurately; install bracing, walers, ties and anchors
• • Verify formwork alignment, level and plumb; ensure forms meet tolerance and safety standards
• • Work with crew to place and secure forms before concrete placement and strip forms after curing
• • Coordinate with crew and site supervisors to maintain schedule and safe work zones

What We're Looking For

• • Proven experience in concrete formwork carpentry and general concrete work
• • Ability to read drawings, perform site layout and interpret specifications
• • Skilled in measuring, cutting and general framing carpentry
• • Experience on commercial and government construction projects
• • Hands-on knowledge of concrete placement/ pouring processes and form removal
• • Comfortable working on multi-person crews and following site safety rules

Qualifications

• • Bilingual: English and Spanish required
• • Minimum 2 years concrete formwork/carpentry experience preferred
• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• • OSHA 10 (preferred) or able to obtain on hire
• • Familiarity with Doka form systems and commercial formwork methods
