Concrete Carpenter

About This Role

Join our crew as a Concrete Carpenter in Greenville, MS. You’ll construct and repair structural woodwork, formwork and related equipment on industrial, commercial and yard projects. Pay up to $30/hr depending on experience. This is hands-on field work — you’ll use hand and power tools, read drawings, estimate materials, inspect work to meet specs, and work safely at heights and in confined spaces. Expect irregular hours, possible overtime, and physically demanding tasks on varied job sites.

What You'll Do

• • Build and repair structural woodwork and concrete formwork on yard, industrial and commercial sites.
• • Measure, cut, fit and install wood, plastic, fiberglass or drywall components using chisels, planes, saws, drills and sanders.
• • Set, align and secure forms, install ties/rigging and coordinate with concrete crews during placement.
• • Read drawings and site layouts; estimate materials, time and labor needed for tasks.
• • Inspect your own and crew work for compliance with plans and specs; correct deficiencies as required.
• • Work safely at heights and in confined spaces using ladders, scaffolds and manlifts when needed.

What We're Looking For

• • 3+ years concrete formwork or commercial/industrial carpentry experience (skilled level).
• • Proficient with hand and power tools and layout tools; ability to read and interpret blueprints and specs.
• • Able to estimate material quantities, time and costs for assigned work.
• • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders/scaffolds, work at heights and in confined or noisy/dusty environments.
• • Must have required personal carpentry tools and wear proper PPE on site.
• • Able to pass pre-access drug/alcohol screening and fit-for-duty medical; able to work irregular hours, weekends and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• • 3+ years concrete formwork or industrial/commercial carpentry experience.
• • Ability to read blueprints, layout drawings and interpret contract plans/specs.
• • Must pass pre-access drug/alcohol screening and fit-for-duty medical.
• • Must own required carpentry hand and power tools.
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; English proficiency for safety communication.
