Concrete Formwork Carpenter

About This Role

Seeking experienced concrete carpenters in the Nashville, TN area to build and assemble concrete forms for commercial and government projects. This is a per diem position paying up to $26/hr. You’ll work with a crew on active job sites — building, setting and stripping formwork to the plans and specs. Ideal candidates know formwork inside-out, read construction drawings, and measure and cut accurately. Must be able to work safely, follow site layout and as-built requirements, and communicate on site in English and Spanish when needed.

What You'll Do

• • Build, set, brace and strip concrete forms to specifications and site layout
• • Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and as-built documents
• • Measure, cut and install formwork components; ensure accurate dimensions and alignments
• • Collaborate with concrete crews during placement and finishing to protect forms and ensure quality
• • Maintain formwork systems (Doka and other modular systems), tools and materials on site
• • Follow safety plans, report issues, and assist with site cleanup and inventory of form materials

What We're Looking For

• • Minimum 3+ years concrete formwork carpentry experience on commercial or government jobs
• • Skilled at reading construction drawings, site layout and as-built drawings
• • Proven ability with measuring, cutting, general framing and concrete placement support
• • Experience with civil construction and commercial concrete projects
• • Able to work full days on site, follow directions, and coordinate with crew leads
• • Comfortable using modular form systems (Doka) and standard carpentry tools

Qualifications

• • Fluent in English; Spanish a plus (bilingual preferred)
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• • OSHA 10-hour or equivalent safety training preferred
• • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• • Experience with Doka or comparable formwork systems
