About This Role

Concrete Carpenter needed in Amarillo, TX to build, assemble and set concrete forms for commercial and government projects. This is a per diem position paying up to $26/hr. We want hands-on formwork carpenters who move fast, follow drawings, and keep quality tight. You’ll work with a crew on site building forms, setting hardware, and preparing for concrete placement using common systems like Doka, Symon, and Peri. Position is open to workers willing to relocate; bilingual English/Spanish skills are required.

What You'll Do

  • Build, assemble and set concrete formwork for slabs, walls, and footings
  • Interpret construction drawings, specifications and as-built drawings to layout forms accurately
  • Measure, mark and cut lumber, plywood and form components to spec
  • Install form ties, bracing, shoring and hardware; ensure formwork is plumb and secure
  • Work with crew and concrete crews to coordinate pours and ensure proper concrete placement
  • Inspect finished formwork for quality and make adjustments to meet project tolerances

What We're Looking For

  • Proven concrete formwork carpentry experience (commercial/government projects preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, site layout and as-built drawings
  • Skilled measuring, cutting and general framing carpentry for form construction
  • Experience with concrete placement/pouring procedures and general concrete work
  • Familiarity with formwork systems such as Doka, Symon or Peri
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish; able to communicate on site

Qualifications

  • Fluent English and Spanish (required)
  • Minimum 3 years concrete formwork/carpentry experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass drug screen and background check
  • OSHA 10-hour card preferred (or willing to obtain)
