About This Role

Work as a hands‑on Concrete Carpenter on commercial projects across Austin, TX. You’ll build, set, brace, and strip formwork for slabs, walls, footings and columns, follow plans and elevations, and help keep the jobsite safe and productive. This role is physical, precise, and team‑oriented. Experienced carpenters will tackle more complex formwork, concrete finishing support, and may lead small crews. Competitive pay is offered based on experience, with steady day-to-day commercial work and opportunities to grow into crew‑lead roles.

What You'll Do

  • Build, set, brace, and strip formwork for slabs, walls, footings, columns, and other structural elements per plans and specs
  • Read and verify blueprints, layouts, grades, elevations, and layout stakes; set forms to correct elevations and lines
  • Cut, fit, fasten, and align form components using hand and power tools; install blocking, walers, ties, and anchors
  • Prepare jobsite for pours: clean forms, place release agents, check reinforcement placement, and coordinate with concrete crews
  • Follow site safety procedures, maintain a clean work area, report hazards, and support crew productivity and quality

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience building and setting concrete formwork on commercial construction projects
  • Ability to read construction drawings, layouts, grades, elevations, and specifications
  • Skilled with hand and power tools; able to measure, cut, and fasten materials accurately
  • Physically able to lift heavy materials, work in varied weather, and stand for long periods
  • Strong attention to detail, reliable attendance, and ability to work as part of a crew

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to jobsites
  • OSHA 10 (required) or OSHA 30 (preferred)
  • First Aid/CPR preferred
  • Proven commercial concrete/formwork experience (references required)
  • Spanish language skills a plus
