Concrete Carpenter Helper

About this role

We are hiring a concrete carpenter helper in Forsyth, GA for local candidates only (no per diem). This is a day-shift position assisting experienced concrete carpenters with formwork, site layout, measuring, and general carpentry tasks. Candidates must have at least 1 year of hands-on experience assisting with concrete formwork and related duties. This role is physically demanding and requires a crew-minded worker who follows instructions, keeps a clean and safe work area, and shows up reliably. You’ll work on local jobsites—no travel pay—supporting form setup, scaffolding, and finish prep under direction of lead carpenters.

What you'll do

• • Assist with layout, assembly, bracing, and stripping of concrete formwork
• • Measure, mark, and cut lumber, plywood, and metal forms to specified dimensions
• • Install and dismantle scaffolding systems and temporary supports safely
• • Help set embeds, anchors, and blocking as directed; assist with basic rebar placement when needed
• • Maintain tools and on-site materials, keep work area clean and safe
• • Follow site plans and take direction from lead carpenters and foremen

What we're looking for

• • Minimum 1+ years assisting with concrete formwork or related carpentry
• • Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and layout marks
• • Skilled with measuring, cutting, fastening, and basic bench carpentry
• • Familiarity with scaffolding installation and safe work practices
• • Reliable, punctual, and able to work day shift on local jobsites

Qualifications

• • Valid driver’s license and reliable local transportation
• • 1+ years of concrete formwork or related carpentry experience
• • Comfort lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in variable conditions
• • Able to pass site background and drug screening as required
• • Basic English comprehension for following plans and safety directions; OSHA 10 preferred
