Concrete Carpenter Helper

About This Role

Local concrete carpenter helper needed in Forsyth, GA. This is a day-shift role paying $21–$23/hr for candidates who have at least 1 year assisting with concrete formwork and related carpentry tasks. No per diem or travel pay — local candidates only. You will work alongside experienced concrete carpenters setting forms, measuring and cutting materials, installing temporary supports and scaffolding, and keeping the jobsite organized. Reliable attendance, basic carpentry skills, and the ability to follow directions on drawings and layout are required.

What You'll Do

• • Assist carpenters with setting, bracing and stripping concrete formwork and related tasks
• • Measure, mark and cut lumber, plywood and metal framing to drawing specs
• • Install scaffolding, in-wall blocking, temporary supports and site layout as directed
• • Load/unload materials, handle hand and power tools, and maintain jobsite housekeeping
• • Follow crane signaling/spotter directions and assist with excavation/trench support when needed
• • Perform basic finish and rough carpentry tasks under supervision (trim, door/window blocking, stair and floor framing support)

What We're Looking For

• • Minimum 1+ years assisting with concrete formwork or concrete carpentry
• • Ability to read basic drawings and follow layout instructions
• • Comfortable using hand and power tools; accurate measuring and cutting skills
• • Familiarity with scaffolding, metal/wood framing, and temporary bracing
• • Physically fit — able to lift, carry, bend and work outdoors in all weather
• • Reliable local transportation and punctual, steady attendance (local candidates only; no per diem)

Qualifications

• • Valid driver’s license and reliable local transportation
• • Minimum 1 year documented experience in concrete formwork carpentry
• • OSHA 10 preferred (or willing to obtain)
• • Crane signaling/flagging training preferred
• • Ability to speak and understand English well enough to follow safety directions
