Concrete Carpenter — New Albany, OH

About this role

We are hiring experienced concrete carpenters for a new-build data center project in the New Albany, OH area. This is an on-site, commercial construction role focused on concrete formwork, layout, placement, and finishing. You will work alongside other trades on a fast-paced project and follow site safety and schedule requirements. Candidates must have at least 3 years of commercial construction experience and be comfortable reading drawings, setting forms, placing reinforcement, and performing concrete finishing and curing tasks. Expect full-time hours set by the site schedule and occasional overtime as the project demands.

What you'll do

• • Set up and lay out concrete formwork for footings, slabs, walls, and other cast-in-place elements from civil and structural drawings
• • Install and tie reinforcing steel, place chairs/spacers and verify embed locations before pours
• • Perform concrete placement, consolidation, finishing, and initial curing/protection per project specifications
• • Collaborate with laborers, equipment operators, and other trades to coordinate pours, openings, and penetrations
• • Inspect formwork and finished work for quality; perform adjustments, bracing, and repairs as needed
• • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work area; follow site safety protocols and communicate issues to supervision

What we're looking for

• • Minimum 3 years’ experience on commercial-style construction sites, including data center or similar new-build projects
• • Proven experience with concrete formwork carpentry, layout, and reading civil/structural drawings
• • Hands-on experience with concrete placement, finishing, curing, and protection methods
• • Experience with concrete reinforcing, rigging basics, and working with scaffolding or frame & brace systems
• • Ability to follow a site schedule, work in a team, and communicate clearly with foremen and other trades
• • Willingness to work outdoors in varied weather and follow site safety, drug screening, and attendance policies

Qualifications

• • OSHA 10-hour construction card required; OSHA 30 preferred
• • Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, and formwork drawings
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the New Albany jobsite
• • Current CPR/First Aid preferred; ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• • Forklift, rigging, or scaffold competency certifications a plus; Spanish language skills helpful
