Carpenter — Doors, Frames & Hardware

About This Role

Looking for a hands-on Carpenter to install, adjust and maintain doors, frames and hardware on commercial and residential jobs across Austin, TX. You’ll set frames, hang interior and exterior doors, fit trim and panels, and make sure locks, closers and hinges work right. We need someone reliable who reads measurements, works with wood and metal frames, and follows safety rules on every job. What You'll Do

• • Install interior and exterior doors and metal/wood frames to manufacturer specs
• • Measure, cut and fit trim, panels and door stops; ensure clean, finished appearance
• • Install and adjust hardware: locks, closers, hinges, exit devices and thresholds
• • Check and correct door alignment, clearances and swing for proper operation
• • Perform maintenance and repairs on doors and hardware; replace parts as needed

What We're Looking For

• • Door/hardware installation experience, including commercial metal frames and residential wood doors
• • Skilled in trim and paneling work with accurate measuring and cutting
• • Comfortable using hand and power tools (saws, drills, chisels, levels)
• • Able to read basic drawings, schedules and manufacturer installation instructions
• • Reliable transportation to job sites and ability to lift and carry materials

Qualifications

• • High school diploma or GED preferred
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• • OSHA 10 or equivalent safety training preferred
• • Prior certification or training in door/hardware installation or carpentry is a plus
• • Spanish language skills helpful but not required
