Commercial Carpenter Installer — Doors & Hardware

GA $22-$28/hr

About this role

We’re hiring experienced commercial carpenter installers in Georgia to install metal doors, metal frames and hardware on active commercial projects. This role is hands-on: you’ll read prints and templates, set and adjust doors, install hardware, and protect prefinished surfaces while working with a crew to meet schedule and quality standards. Candidates should bring 5–6 years of proven door/frame/hardware experience, strong tool skills, and the ability to follow manufacturer instructions and project details. Work is full-time, on-site at commercial job locations across GA; schedules vary by project and may include travel between sites and occasional overtime.

What you'll do

  • Install metal doors and metal frames to project specifications, including accurate layout and anchoring
  • Install basic to intermediate-level door hardware (locks, closers, hinges, etc.) and follow manufacturer literature
  • Read and interpret blueprints, templates, diagrams and plan details for each opening
  • Use hand tools and battery-powered drills safely and efficiently; maintain tools and basic site housekeeping
  • Adjust doors for proper swing, clearances and hardware function; follow door-hanging sequence per project
  • Patch dents/dings using Bondo, handle prefinished doors carefully, and create daily Pre-Task Plans while coordinating with other trades

What we're looking for

  • 5–6 years commercial experience installing metal doors, metal frames and hardware
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, templates, and manufacturer instructions
  • Proficient with hand tools and battery-powered drills; able to control torque to avoid finish damage
  • Skilled at adjusting door swings, clearances and latching; familiar with door hanging sequences
  • Comfortable using Bondo for minor patching and handling prefinished door surfaces without damage
  • Dependable team player with good communication and the ability to work on active commercial sites

Qualifications

  • CPR and First Aid certified
  • OSHA 10-hour construction safety card
  • Fluent in Spanish and English

What we offer

  • Paid site safety orientation and required site training
  • Access to on-the-job, trade-specific training for door, frame and hardware systems
  • Opportunities for steady project assignments across Georgia and overtime as project needs dictate
  • Company-provided PPE and on-site support for quality installations
