Entry-Level Carpenter / Specialty Installer

About This Role

Entry-level specialty installers needed for projects in the Cocoa Beach area. This is a hands-on role suited to early-career construction workers based in or near Lakeland, FL who want to build carpentry and installation skills. Carpentry experience is a plus but not required — we’ll train the right person. You’ll work alongside experienced carpenters doing wood framing, finish and rough carpentry, scaffolding setup, and general site tasks. Expect steady day shifts, local travel to job sites around Cocoa Beach, on-the-job training, and clear pathways to advance as you gain skills.

What You'll Do

• • Assist with measuring, cutting and fitting wood framing, trim, and basic components on residential and commercial sites
• • Follow drawings and layout instructions; assist with on-site layout and takeoffs
• • Set up and take down scaffolding systems under supervision and follow all safety procedures
• • Perform general rough and finish carpentry tasks as directed by journeymen or foremen
• • Keep job sites clean, load/unload materials, maintain tools and equipment, and assist with work inspection/punch lists
• • Travel to job sites in the Cocoa Beach area and report to the Lakeland staging point as required

What We're Looking For

• • Some hands-on carpentry experience preferred (finish or rough carpentry) or related trade experience
• • Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, take accurate measurements, and perform measuring/cutting
• • Familiarity with wood framing, general construction methods and materials
• • Comfortable working on scaffolding and ladders; follows safety protocols
• • Able to perform site clean up, assist with inspections, and take direction from senior carpenters

Qualifications

• • High school diploma or GED preferred
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (worksites in Cocoa Beach area; staging from Lakeland)
• • OSHA 10 preferred or willing to obtain within first 30 days
• • Able to pass a drug screen and background check
• • Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors in varying weather
