You’ll install architectural woodwork, casework, fume hoods, doors, frames, hardware and other finish specialties on commercial and institutional job sites. This role requires someone who reads blueprints, preplans tools and installation methods for safe, efficient work, supplies their own basic tools, and follows the site safety program. Work independently on assignments and contribute to a positive, safety-first team environment.

What you'll do

  • Install architectural woodwork, plastic laminate, metal casework, fume hoods, doors, frames, hardware and miscellaneous specialty items on commercial job sites
  • Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings to confirm dimensions, layout and installation sequence
  • Preplan tools, materials and installation techniques for the safest and most efficient approach
  • Perform finish carpentry tasks: cabinet and countertop installation, trim, paneling, door and hardware fitting
  • Keep work areas clean, report hazards or incidents immediately, and follow site safety procedures including Stop Work Authority
  • Work with minimal supervision and coordinate with other trades to meet project schedules

What we're looking for

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 3–5 years’ experience as a finished carpenter with millwork/casework experience
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, measurements and installation details
  • Supply and maintain personal hand and power tools required for the trade
  • Physically able to climb ladders/scaffolds, stoop/kneel/crouch and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
  • Strong communication skills—able to follow directions, report safety issues, and work with crew members
  • Union membership where applicable

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3–5 years finish carpentry with demonstrated millwork/casework experience
  • Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings
  • Must supply personal trade tools and maintain them
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; union card where applicable

What we offer

  • Steady commercial project work in the Nashville area
  • Site-specific safety training and a safety-first work environment
  • Overtime opportunities on extended schedules
  • Paid time off and other standard employee benefits where applicable
  • Support for skill development and on-the-job training
