Carpenter Foreman
About This Role
We’re hiring a Carpenter Foreman in Lakewood Ranch, FL to lead field crews on residential and commercial construction projects. This is a hands-on role — you’ll be in the field doing rough and finish carpentry while supervising laborers to keep work safe, on time, and built right. You’ll run layout, inspect work, enforce site safety, and communicate directly with project management about progress, materials, and crew needs. What You'll Do
- • Lead and coordinate daily tasks for carpentry and labor crews on-site
- • Perform hands-on rough and framing carpentry; measure, cut and install materials
- • Read and verify drawings/layouts; set lines and site layout for accurate installs
- • Inspect workmanship and ensure work meets quality standards and building codes
- • Enforce jobsite safety practices, maintain clean and organized sites, and handle scaffolding setup as needed
- • Communicate daily with project management about progress, materials, manpower and schedule issues
What We're Looking For
- • Strong blueprint reading and drawing interpretation; accurate measuring and cutting
- • Proven rough and framing carpentry skills in residential and commercial work
- • Experience leading crews: assigning tasks, supervising laborers, and keeping projects on schedule
- • Working knowledge of building codes, construction methods, materials, and basic concrete work
- • Ability to install/inspect scaffolding systems, perform site layout, and enforce safety procedures
- • Hands-on inspection skills to verify quality and correct deficiencies before sign-off
Qualifications
- • Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation
- • OSHA 10 (required) — OSHA 30 preferred
- • Scaffolding or competent-person certification preferred (or ability to obtain)
- • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
- • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
- • English required; Spanish bilingual a plus
