Carpenter Foreman

About this role

We are hiring a hands-on Carpenter Foreman in Lakewood Ranch, FL to lead field crews on residential and commercial construction projects. This role combines day-to-day carpentry—framing, layout, scaffolding—with crew supervision to keep jobs safe, on schedule, and built to spec. You will coordinate daily tasks for carpenters and laborers, perform quality inspections, enforce site safety, and communicate progress and needs to project management. Expect a full-time, on-site position with a typical workweek and occasional overtime or weekend work as project demands require.

What you'll do

• • Lead and coordinate daily tasks for carpentry and labor crews, assigning work and monitoring progress
• • Perform hands-on carpentry work including general rough framing, measuring and cutting, layout, and installation
• • Read and interpret drawings and specifications; set site layout and perform work inspections to ensure code and quality compliance
• • Install and inspect scaffolding systems and ensure all access and fall protection measures are in place
• • Enforce jobsite safety procedures, maintain a clean work area, and report progress or issues to project management

What we're looking for

• • Proven leadership and crew supervision experience on construction sites (foreman or lead role)
• • Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and layout plans
• • Solid skills in general rough carpentry, framing, measuring, cutting, and material handling
• • Knowledge of building codes, construction methods, materials, and quality inspection practices
• • Experience installing scaffolding systems and enforcing site safety procedures
• • Reliable transportation to Lakewood Ranch job sites and ability to work full-time on-site with occasional overtime

Qualifications

• • OSHA 10 (preferred) or OSHA 30 card
• • Scaffold competent person training or equivalent experience
• • First aid/CPR certification (preferred)
• • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• • Ability to pass background and drug screening
