Carpenter — Concrete Formwork

About This Role

Seeking experienced concrete carpenters to build and assemble formwork for commercial and government projects in Columbus, OH. You’ll work hands-on with a crew to set, brace, and strip forms, follow plans, and help ensure accurate pours. Pay is up to $26/hr with per diem for travel. This is a site-based role for people who know formwork inside and out, can read drawings, and move quickly while keeping quality and safety top of mind. Open to workers willing to relocate for the project.

What You'll Do

• • Build, set, brace, and strip concrete forms for slabs, walls, and footings
• • Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and as-built notes
• • Measure, cut, and assemble formwork materials (plywood, lumber, metal ties, tie rods, etc.)
• • Coordinate with crew and concrete crews on placement and pour sequences
• • Check form alignment and dimensions; ensure accuracy and quality before pours
• • Follow site safety rules and maintain tools/equipment in working order

What We're Looking For

• • Proven experience building commercial/government concrete formwork
• • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and as-built drawings
• • Skilled in measuring, cutting, general framing carpentry, and site layout
• • Experience with concrete placement/pouring procedures and general concrete work
• • Able to work full days outdoors, lift heavy materials, and follow direction as part of a crew

Qualifications

• • Fluent in English and Spanish (required)
• • 2+ years hands-on concrete formwork carpentry experience
• • OSHA 10-hour Construction card preferred
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• • Comfortable working on government/commercial construction sites
