Carpenter — Concrete Formwork (Per Diem, Up to $25/hr)

About This Role

Looking for experienced concrete carpenters in the San Antonio, TX area to build and assemble formwork on commercial and government projects. This per diem role pays up to $25/hr and requires hands-on trade skills, reliability, and the ability to work safely on active job sites. You’ll be part of a crew installing forms, setting rebar, and supporting concrete placement and finishing. Must be comfortable reading construction drawings, working with scaffolding and rigging, and communicating in both English and Spanish on site.

What You'll Do

• • Build, assemble and set concrete forms to specifications for slabs, walls, and other cast-in-place elements
• • Read and interpret construction and civil drawings and follow project specifications
• • Perform site layout, measure and verify form locations, and ensure form accuracy and alignment
• • Install concrete reinforcing, tie rebar, and assist with concrete placement and finishing as needed
• • Inspect formwork for quality and safety, repair or adjust forms, and maintain tools and equipment
• • Work with crew leads and other trades on site to meet schedule and quality requirements

What We're Looking For

• • Proven experience building concrete formwork on commercial or government projects
• • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• • Skilled with concrete reinforcing, placement/pouring, and basic finishing
• • Experience with rigging, frame & brace and system scaffolding
• • Strong focus on accuracy, quality control and jobsite safety
• • Able to work full days on site, follow crew schedules, and communicate in English and Spanish

Qualifications

• • Fluent in English and Spanish (required)
• • Proven track record with concrete formwork carpentry and concrete trades
• • Experience on government projects preferred
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• • OSHA 10 or equivalent safety training preferred; rigging/scaffolding certification a plus
