Concrete Carpenter

About this role

We're hiring a Concrete Carpenter in Forsyth, GA to lay out, build and install concrete forms, rebar, embeds and anchor bolts per plans and specs. This role focuses on structural formwork, concrete placement and finish work using hand and power tools on commercial and civil jobsites. You will read and interpret prints, measure and assemble wooden and prefabricated forms, install tie-rods and spreaders, brace forms, pour and finish concrete surfaces, and follow site safety rules. This is hands-on work—expect physical tasks, travel to local sites, and close teamwork with concrete crews and foremen.

What you'll do

  • Read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications; visualize formwork and layout in three dimensions
  • Measure, cut, assemble and install built-in-place and prefabricated wooden forms and formwork components
  • Install rebar, embeds, anchor bolts, spreaders and tie-rods to maintain dimensions and embed locations
  • Brace and secure forms using nails, bolts, rods, cables, planks and timber; check alignment and dimensions
  • Assist with concrete placement and finishing to required specifications and protect/ cure concrete as directed

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience constructing and installing concrete formwork and related carpentry on commercial or civil projects
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layout plans and civil/concrete drawings
  • Skilled with hand and power tools, formwork hardware, rigging and basic scaffolding techniques
  • Experience installing rebar, embeds, anchors and tie-rods and maintaining form dimensions
  • Physically able to lift materials, work from heights, and perform sustained manual labor in all weather
  • Reliable transportation to jobsite and ability to follow site safety rules and directions

Qualifications

  • OSHA 10-hour Construction card or equivalent safety training
  • NCCER Carpentry credential or equivalent formwork/carpentry certification preferred
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass background and drug screen, and communicate in English on-site
