Carpenter — Commercial Formwork & Framing (Nashville, TN)

About This Role

Experienced commercial carpenters wanted for full-time work on multi-family, office, and school projects across Nashville and surrounding areas. You’ll spend your day building and removing concrete formwork, framing, installing protections and handrails, and working directly with other trades to keep projects running on schedule. This role is hands-on and dependable: local jobs, steady hours, competitive pay based on experience, and an emphasis on safe, organized job sites. Bring your core hand tools and a commitment to quality—you’ll also mentor apprentices and help maintain jobsite standards.

What You'll Do

• • Construct and assemble formwork systems for concrete foundations, walls, columns, and slabs
• • Install anchor bolts, steel embed plates and other fixtures in formwork; remove formwork after concrete has cured
• • Precisely measure, cut and install construction materials using hand and power tools
• • Build, install and maintain handrails, temporary enclosures, interior blocking and protections
• • Read and interpret construction drawings and layout plans to complete assigned work accurately
• • Coordinate and collaborate with plumbers, electricians and other trades; mentor apprentices and junior carpenters

What We're Looking For

• • Minimum 3 years commercial carpentry experience with strong concrete formwork and framing skills
• • OSHA 10 certification required
• • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and layout plans
• • Capable of working at elevated heights and lifting up to 75 pounds safely
• • Proven ability to use hand tools and power tools for carpentry and formwork tasks
• • Strong communication skills and willingness to train and mentor less experienced crew members

Qualifications

• • OSHA 10 certification
• • Minimum 3 years commercial carpentry (formwork/framing) experience
• • Proven blueprint/layout reading skills
• • Able to work at heights and lift up to 75 lbs
• • Own basic personal tools (hammer, speed square, tape measure, chalk box, pliers, tool pouch)
