Concrete Formwork Carpenter

About This Role

Join a hands-on crew in Hallsville, TX building and installing concrete forms for commercial and civil projects. You’ll lay out, cut, assemble, brace and strip forms, work with crews on pours, and help finish and protect concrete. This role is physically demanding and requires solid blueprint reading, accurate measuring/cutting, rebar and concrete placement experience, and a focus on safe formwork practices. Local travel to job sites around Hallsville — pay competitive and based on experience.

What You'll Do

• • Read and interpret construction and civil drawings to set form layouts and elevations
• • Measure, mark and cut lumber and form materials to specification
• • Assemble, brace and align formwork; install or tie reinforcement as required
• • Support concrete placement and finishing crews during pours; monitor concrete cure and protection
• • Strip forms safely and repair or adjust forms for reuse
• • Maintain tools and equipment, follow site safety rules, and communicate with foremen and crew

What We're Looking For

• • Proven experience building, bracing and stripping concrete formwork on construction sites
• • Ability to read construction/civil drawings and perform site layout
• • Skilled in measuring, cutting, fastening, and basic carpentry for forms
• • Experience with concrete placing/pouring, reinforcing, finishing, curing and protection
• • Comfort working in extreme weather conditions and performing heavy physical work
• • Reliable, punctual, able to follow directions and work as part of a crew

Qualifications

• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Hallsville-area sites
• • OSHA 10 (preferred) or willingness to obtain
• • Ability to pass drug screen and background check
• • NCCER carpentry certificate or equivalent training preferred
• • CPR/First Aid certification and Spanish language skills are a plus
