Formwork Carpenter

About This Role

Join a heavy-civil crew in Allentown, PA as a formwork carpenter. You will fabricate and install wood and steel forming systems on bridges, decks, and other concrete structures. This is hands-on work: reading blueprints, laying out to scale, building forms, and operating finishing equipment. We promote from within and invest in people who show skill and reliability. What You'll Do

• • Read and interpret blueprints and perform layout to scale for formwork and concrete pours.
• • Fabricate, set, align, and secure wood and steel forming systems for heavy civil projects.
• • Set up and operate bridge finishing machines and assist with concrete placement and finishing as needed.
• • Follow safety and quality standards on every job; use PPE and enforce safe work practices.
• • Keep jobsite, job trailer, tools, equipment, and vehicles clean, organized, and maintained.
• • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by the foreman or superintendent.

What We're Looking For

• • Minimum 5 years' formwork/carpentry experience on heavy civil or infrastructure projects.
• • Able to read and interpret technical drawings and perform accurate layout work.
• • Comfortable operating hand and power tools, rigging, and basic finishing equipment.
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to jobsite in Allentown, PA.
• • Physically fit for heavy lifting, climbing, and extended time standing/working outdoors.
• • Apprenticeship completion or prior work in a carpentry apprentice program is a plus.

Qualifications

• • High School Diploma or GED preferred
• • Completion of a Carpentry Apprentice Program (preferred)
• • Valid Driver’s License (required)
• • 5+ years of concrete formwork/carpentry experience
• • Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
