Concrete Carpenter (Formwork) — Jacksonville, FL

About this role

Seeking experienced concrete carpenters in the Jacksonville, FL area to build and assemble concrete forms for commercial and government projects. This per diem role requires crews who work efficiently on site, follow drawings and specifications, and deliver accurate, high-quality formwork. You will join on-site teams for multi-week assignments. We’re looking for hands-on carpenters who can read plans, handle layout and measuring tasks, and collaborate with concrete crews to ensure smooth pours. Workers willing to relocate or travel for assignments are encouraged to apply.

What you'll do

• • Build, set up and strip concrete forms for walls, footings, slabs and other elements
• • Interpret construction drawings, specifications and as-built details for formwork layout
• • Measure, cut and assemble lumber, plywood and form components with precision
• • Coordinate with concrete crews during placement/pouring to protect formwork and ensure finish
• • Verify dimensions, tolerances and alignment to maintain accuracy and quality of formwork

What we're looking for

• • Proven experience in concrete formwork carpentry and general framing carpentry
• • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, site layout and as-built drawings
• • Skilled in measuring, cutting and installing formwork materials and hardware
• • Experience with commercial and civil construction workflows and concrete placement
• • Physical ability to perform manual labor outdoors, handle materials and work on varied site conditions

Qualifications

• • Bilingual: English and Spanish (required)
• • Demonstrated concrete formwork experience on commercial/civil jobs
• • Proven ability to read plans, specs and as-built drawings
• • Available and willing to travel for per diem assignments
