Carpenter (Concrete/Formwork)

About This Role

Join a hands-on crew in Vicksburg, MS as a Carpenter specializing in concrete formwork. You will plan and lay out forms, set rebar, installs embeds and anchor bolts, pour and finish concrete, and make sure work matches plans and specs. This is physical, outdoor work on commercial/industrial sites — day shift, up to $31/hr. We need a skilled, safety-focused tradesperson with solid blueprint-reading skills and proven concrete formwork experience. You’ll work with hand and power tools, help inspect and correct work, and keep the jobsite organized and safe.

What You'll Do

• • Read and interpret blueprints, plans and specifications; set layout for forms and rebar.
• • Construct, assemble and install built-in-place or prefabricated wood/metal forms; install spreaders, tie-rods and bracing to maintain dimensions.
• • Measure, cut and tie rebar; install embeds and anchor bolts per drawings.
• • Pour, consolidate and finish concrete surfaces to required tolerances; apply curing and protection as specified.
• • Inspect work for compliance with plans and specs, identify deficiencies and take corrective action; maintain tools and site housekeeping.

What We're Looking For

• • 5+ years hands-on experience with concrete formwork, rebar and finishing (carpentry background required).
• • Proficient with layout tools, tape measures, levels, hand and power tools; able to read drawings in 3D.
• • Comfortable working at heights, in changing outdoor conditions, and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
• • Reliable attendance for day shift; flexible for overtime, weekends and project needs.
• • Must own basic carpenter hand tools and have dependable transportation to the Vicksburg jobsite.

Qualifications

• • High school diploma or equivalent
• • Minimum 5 years concrete formwork/carpentry experience
• • OSHA 10 preferred (willingness to obtain required)
• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• • Ability to pass pre-access drug & alcohol testing and fit-for-duty medical
• • Own required basic carpenter tools
