Full time
Carpenter
About this role
We’re looking for experienced carpenters to work on a variety of projects across the Denver metro area, including framing, rough carpentry and finish work. You’ll handle layout, measuring, cutting and assembly on commercial and residential jobs — working independently on tasks or as part of a crew under a lead. This role is hands-on and detail-oriented. You should be comfortable reading basic plans, using a full set of hand and power tools, and solving on-site fit and finish issues. Expect regular daytime shifts on active job sites with occasional overtime and weekend work depending on project needs.
What you'll do
- • Measure, mark, and cut materials to layout and construct frameworks, floors, walls and roofs following plans and specifications
- • Perform bench carpentry tasks: fabricate trim, sashes, door and window components, and other finish pieces to required tolerances
- • Install finish carpentry: hang doors, fit trim and base, set casing, and complete final adjustments and caulking for finish quality
- • Execute rough carpentry and general framing: erect wall sections, install headers, framing for openings, and temporary bracing as needed
- • Read and interpret job plans, cut lists and layout drawings; verify measurements on-site and coordinate changes with leads
- • Maintain tools and equipment, keep a safe and clean work area, follow site safety rules and participate in toolbox talks or site-specific training
What we're looking for
- • Proven experience in bench carpentry, general finish and rough carpentry, and framing carpentry on commercial or residential projects
- • Skilled in accurate measuring and cutting with hand and power tools (saws, routers, nail guns, levels, squares)
- • Able to read basic plans and perform layout from drawings and cut lists
- • Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce clean finish work and square framing
- • Able to work independently or as part of a crew, take direction from leads, and communicate job progress clearly
- • Reliable transportation to Denver-area job sites and the ability to work a typical construction schedule with occasional overtime
Qualifications
- • OSHA 10-hour construction safety card or equivalent site safety training preferred
- • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites
- • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check (site dependent)
- • Physical ability to lift, carry and position materials (regularly lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing ladders/scaffolding)
- • Proficient English reading skills for understanding plans and safety instructions; bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
What we offer
- • Consistent, local work across Denver-area projects and steady schedules on active sites
- • Overtime opportunities during peak project phases
- • Tool support or tool allowance and company-provided basic PPE on site
- • Paid site safety training and opportunities for skill development and cross-training
- • Clear advancement path to lead or specialty roles based on performance
