About this role
Local openings for carpenters in Montgomery, AL. Work may include residential and commercial projects — framing, finish carpentry, formwork, and basic concrete tasks. We're looking for hands-on carpenters who can read drawings, measure and cut accurately, and work safely on site. This role is suitable for carpenters with rough or finish backgrounds. Typical schedule is full-time day work with potential for overtime and occasional weekend shifts depending on project timelines. Local candidates or those able to travel to Montgomery job sites are preferred.
What you'll do
- • Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and construction drawings to complete tasks
- • Measure, cut and install framing, sheathing, trim, doors, and other carpentry elements
- • Install and dismantle scaffolding and maintain safe access for crews
- • Set and strip concrete forms and perform basic concrete finishing tasks as needed
- • Perform general rough and finish carpentry, including finishing trim and cabinetry tasks
- • Maintain tools, keep work areas clean, and follow site safety procedures
What we're looking for
- • Proven experience in rough and/or finish carpentry on residential or commercial jobs
- • Ability to read drawings and measure and cut materials accurately
- • Familiarity with scaffolding installation and working at heights
- • Comfort working with concrete forms, basic plumbing hookups, and general construction tasks
- • Physically able to lift, bend, climb, and work outdoors in varying conditions
- • Reliable transportation to Montgomery job sites and punctual attendance
Qualifications
- • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- • Proven carpentry experience (residential or commercial)
- • OSHA 10 or similar site safety card preferred
- • Comfortable using power tools, hand tools, and layout equipment
- • Ability to understand jobsite instructions in English
