Carpenter

About This Role

Seeking skilled carpenters located in or near Montgomery, Alabama to work on residential and commercial projects. Day-to-day work includes reading plans, rough and finish carpentry, framing, measuring and cutting materials, scaffolding setup, and general construction tasks. Open to candidates from a variety of carpentry backgrounds — residential or commercial. Local routes mean you’ll be home at night. Pay is competitive and based on experience; steady hours and overtime opportunities are available for dependable crew members.

What You'll Do

• • Read and interpret blueprints, work drawings, and layout plans to complete tasks to spec
• • Perform rough framing: walls, floors, roofs, and structural assemblies
• • Execute finish carpentry tasks: trim, doors, windows, stairs, and built-ins
• • Measure, mark, and cut lumber and materials accurately; maintain hand and power tools
• • Install and dismantle scaffolding systems; follow safe work practices at height
• • Assist with concrete forming, basic plumbing hookups, and general construction site duties

What We're Looking For

• • Hands-on experience in rough and/or finish carpentry on residential or commercial jobs
• • Ability to read and interpret drawings and construction plans
• • Proficient measuring, cutting, and framing skills with hand and power tools
• • Experience installing scaffolding systems and working safely at height
• • Working knowledge of construction methods and materials, including basic concrete and plumbing
• • Dependable attendance and reliable transportation to Montgomery-area job sites

Qualifications

• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• • OSHA 10-hour preferred; OSHA 30 or scaffold certification a plus
• • High school diploma or GED preferred
• • Capable of lifting 50+ lbs and performing physically demanding work
• • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen where required
• • Spanish language skills helpful but not required
