Concrete Carpenter

About this role

Join a heavy-civil crew in Mount Pocono, PA as a concrete carpenter focused on formwork for large infrastructure. You’ll work on an active jobsite building and stripping forms, installing bracing and hardware, and helping deliver heavy concrete structures on schedule. This is hands-on carpentry on a heavy civil project. You must be able to read plans, follow directions from the foreman, work safely around heavy equipment, and coordinate daily with the crew to meet production and schedule goals.

What you'll do

• • Lay out, build, set, brace and strip concrete formwork for heavy civil structures
• • Cut, shape and install lumber, plywood, form ties, and hardware for concrete pours
• • Read and follow plans, shop drawings and foreman directions for formwork and layout
• • Maintain tools, rigging and formwork components; inspect and repair as needed
• • Work safely around heavy equipment, enforce site safety procedures and use PPE
• • Communicate with crew and supervisors to meet daily production schedules and quality standards

What we're looking for

• • Proven concrete formwork and general carpentry experience on heavy civil or commercial projects
• • Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans and layout marks
• • Knowledge of construction methods, materials and concrete placement/formwork processes
• • Experience with general framing carpentry and civil construction tasks
• • Commitment to enforcing safety procedures on an active construction site
• • Able to follow directions from supervisors and work as part of a crew to meet schedule

Qualifications

• • OSHA 10-hour (or equivalent) safety training preferred
• • Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Mount Pocono site
• • Minimum 3 years’ experience in concrete formwork or related carpentry
• • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• • Able to lift heavy materials, work outdoors in varying weather, and read plans in English
