Concrete Carpenter

About This Role

Concrete carpenter needed for a large heavy-civil infrastructure project in Mount Pocono, PA. This hands-on role focuses on building, setting and stripping concrete formwork and performing related carpentry tasks on bridges, culverts and other heavy concrete structures. You’ll work with a crew and foreman on an active site, read plans, follow directions, and maintain a safe, productive work area. What You'll Do

• • Lay out, build, install, brace and strip concrete formwork for heavy civil structures (bridges, culverts, retaining walls).
• • Read and interpret construction drawings and follow directions from foreman and supervisors.
• • Fit and install form ties, embedded items, and form hardware as required; patch and make minor concrete repairs.
• • Collaborate with crew members and other trades to meet schedule and sequence work.
• • Maintain a clean, organized work area and enforce site safety procedures and PPE rules.

What We're Looking For

• • Proven experience with concrete formwork and general carpentry on heavy civil or large commercial projects.
• • Able to read and interpret basic construction drawings and layout lines.
• • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, concrete curing/repair, and formwork best practices.
• • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather on an active construction site; able to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods.
• • Follow safety procedures; communicate clearly with crew and supervisors to meet schedule.

Qualifications

• • High school diploma or GED preferred
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Mount Pocono, PA jobsite
• • OSHA 10-hour (or 30-hour) preferred; site safety training required
• • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
• • Basic English reading/communication skills to follow plans and supervisor instructions
