Concrete Carpenter — Mount Pocono, PA

About This Role

Experienced concrete carpenter needed for a large heavy civil infrastructure project in Mount Pocono, PA. This role focuses on layout, building, setting and stripping concrete formwork for footings, walls, slabs and other heavy civil structures. You’ll work on an active jobsite alongside a crew and foreman to meet schedule and quality standards. You must follow plans and supervisors’ directions, work safely around heavy equipment, and keep tools and forms in good condition. This is steady, hands-on construction work with overtime available; reliable attendance and a safety-first attitude are required.

What You'll Do

• • Lay out, build, set, brace and strip concrete formwork for walls, footings, slabs and other heavy civil structures
• • Install embeds, anchors, shoring and temporary supports per plan and site directions
• • Read and follow construction drawings, layouts and supervisor instructions
• • Perform concrete repair, blocking, layout for rebar placement and coordination with other trades
• • Keep tools, forms and work area maintained; report safety hazards and enforce jobsite safety procedures

What We're Looking For

• • Hands-on experience with concrete formwork and heavy civil carpentry
• • Ability to read and interpret drawings, levels and layout marks
• • Solid general framing and carpentry skills; able to perform accurate cuts and assemblies
• • Knowledge of construction methods, materials and concrete work/repair techniques
• • Comfort working around heavy equipment, in varying weather, and following safety procedures

Qualifications

• • OSHA 10 (preferred) or OSHA 30 courses a plus
• • CPR/First Aid and flagger certifications a plus
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to jobsite
• • Willingness to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• • English proficiency to read plans and follow verbal instructions
