Carpenter
About This Role
Join a hands-on construction crew in El Paso, TX as a Carpenter working on industrial and commercial projects. You’ll plan, lay out and perform rough and finish carpentry — from formwork and framing to finishing — while following drawings, specs and safety rules. This role is physical and safety-sensitive: expect work at heights, in confined spaces and outdoors in varying conditions. You’ll inspect work for quality, keep projects productive by eliminating waste, and support your crew with clear, practical feedback to get the job done right and on time.
What You'll Do
- • Read and interpret drawings, specifications and site instructions to complete layout, framing and finish carpentry.
- • Perform all aspects of carpentry: measuring, cutting, formwork, general framing, finish carpentry, scaffolding setup and exterior cladding/ceiling work as required.
- • Inspect and verify quality of crew work, identify deficiencies, explain corrections and take corrective action when needed.
- • Maintain positive crew relationships, provide on-the-job feedback, and train or mentor less-experienced team members.
- • Work safely and productively in confined spaces, at heights and in varying weather; follow PPE and safety procedures and help eliminate waste (rework, waiting, excess transport).
What We're Looking For
- • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and trade-level math for layout and measuring.
- • Minimum 1–4 years industrial/commercial carpentry experience (Level I–Sr. based on role) with proven rough and finish carpentry skills.
- • Proven experience with formwork/concrete carpentry, steel framing, scaffolding systems and finishing tasks.
- • Effective verbal communication and ability to inspect and correct subordinate work; work well in a crew environment.
- • Physically able to climb, lift up to 50 lbs., work up to 12-hour shifts, and use required PPE; willing to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Qualifications
- • OSHA 10 (required) or OSHA 30 (preferred)
- • CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; able to travel to local job sites
- • Completion of carpentry apprenticeship, trade school or NCCER credential preferred
- • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
What We Offer
- • Market-competitive pay (paid weekly) and per diem for eligible assignments
- • Bonus eligibility based on company, group and individual performance
- • Employee ownership program & 401(k) retirement plan
- • Industry-leading health coverage starting day one (medical, HSA/Wellness credits)
- • Flexible Time Off (FTO) and workplace wellness/mental health programs
- • Educational assistance and trade training to build your skills and advance your pay
