Concrete Carpenter Journeyman

About This Role

Experienced Concrete Carpenter Journeyman needed for an industrial project in Greenville, MS. This is a day-shift role (5x10s) paying $30/hr plus $100/day per diem for days worked. Assignment is approximately 6 months. You’ll work in an industrial environment doing journeyman-level concrete formwork and carpentry. Must have 5+ years of industrial concrete/form experience, be able to read civil drawings, and perform physical, hands-on work on a fast-paced site.

What You'll Do

• • Lay out and build concrete formwork and form systems per drawings and site layout plans
• • Set and secure concrete reinforcing, place and brace forms, and assist with rigging and lifting as required
• • Read and interpret civil and construction drawings to confirm dimensions and ensure correct placements
• • Coordinate concrete placement, finishing, curing and protection activities; follow concrete mixing and temperature-specific procedures
• • Perform inspections and quality checks on formwork, reinforcing, and finished concrete; report issues and correct defects
• • Assist with scaffold setup (frame and system scaffolding), site housekeeping, tool care, and follow safety procedures on site

What We're Looking For

• • Journeyman-level concrete form carpentry with 5+ years industrial experience
• • Proven ability to read and interpret civil drawings and construction plans
• • Hands-on experience with concrete placement, finishing, curing, and formwork carpentry
• • Familiarity with concrete reinforcing, rigging, scaffolding (frame & system), and site layout
• • Able to work 10-hour day shifts, 5 days per week, outdoors in varying weather and temperature conditions
• • Reliable, punctual, able to pass site background check and drug screen; comfortable working in a safety-focused industrial environment

Qualifications

• • Journeyman-level trade certification or demonstrable journeyman experience
• • Minimum 5 years industrial concrete/form carpentry experience
• • OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour construction safety card preferred
• • Scaffold and rigging training/certification preferred
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Greenville, MS
• • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
