Concrete Carpenter

About this role

Join a large commercial formwork project in Atlanta as a Concrete Carpenter. You will read layout, build, set, and strip concrete form systems for sidewalks, pads, walls, decks and stairs while keeping safety top of mind. This job requires working independently, completing task hazard analyses, and using personal fall arrest systems. We’re looking for reliable carpenters with proven commercial concrete formwork experience. This role offers competitive pay (based on experience), paid holidays, PTO, medical/dental/vision, 401(k), and training opportunities. Nights may be required depending on pours and schedule needs.

What you'll do

  • Read layout and form sidewalks, pads, grade beams, walls, decks and stairs from layout
  • Build, set, and safely strip wall and deck form systems (including gang forms and wall forms)
  • Perform basic blueprint reading, site layout, and transfer levels/off-sets
  • Complete Task Hazard Analysis (THA) logs and follow required safety procedures and PPE rules
  • Use personal fall arrest systems and complete related training to work at heights
  • Assist and coordinate with other trades on site as needed to complete pours and formwork sequencing

What we're looking for

  • 4+ years commercial concrete formwork or carpenter experience on self-perform projects
  • Able to plan and execute work with minimal supervision and follow layout/blueprints
  • Familiar with common hand and power tools used in formwork (drills, saws, demolition hammers, measuring tools)
  • Able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physical tasks (squat, crawl, confined spaces)
  • Reliable transportation to/from site and dependable attendance; able to work nights when required
  • Strong commitment to safety, able to recognize hazards and work in designated danger zones

Qualifications

  • Proof of identity and employment authorization (I-9 documents)
  • Minimum age 18+
  • OSHA 10-hour (preferred) or willingness to obtain OSHA 10/30
  • Fall protection / personal fall arrest training or willing to complete before working at heights
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
  • Ability to read drawings and basic construction math; English proficiency for safety and layout instructions
