Carpenter — Millwork & Casework
About This Role
Join a hands-on crew as a skilled carpenter specializing in high-level millwork, casework (AWW, PL, metal), fume hoods, DFH and miscellaneous specialties in West Palm Beach, FL. This role is for a dependable finished carpenter who can read blueprints, preplan installs, and deliver quality work with minimal supervision. You will work under a foreman, follow and participate in the ISEC Safety Program, use Stop Work Authority when needed, and help keep the jobsite safe and efficient. The job is physically demanding — you must be able to climb, stoop, kneel and lift up to 50 lbs while maintaining attention to detail on finish work.
What You'll Do
- • Install AWW, plastic laminate (PL) and metal casework, fume hoods, DFH and other millwork specialties on commercial job sites
- • Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings; layout and mark installations to spec
- • Preplan tools, materials, and the safest, most efficient installation techniques
- • Follow and participate in the ISEC Safety Program; report hazards and use Stop Work Authority
- • Work with minimal supervision; maintain and care for personal and company tools
- • Perform physical tasks: climbing ladders/scaffolds, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs
What We're Looking For
- • High school diploma or GED
- • 3–5 years finished carpentry experience with casework, plastic laminate and architectural millwork
- • Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints; accurate measuring and cutting skills
- • Must supply basic personal tools and maintain them in good working order
- • Physically able to climb, stoop, kneel and lift/carry up to 50 lbs regularly
- • Union membership required where applicable
Qualifications
- • High school diploma or GED
- • 3–5 years experience as a finished carpenter in millwork/casework
- • Union member where applicable
- • Able to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- • Physically capable of required job tasks (climb, kneel, stoop, lift 50 lbs)
- • OSHA-10 or similar safety training preferred
