Journeyman Form Carpenter

About this role

Work on a prime data center build in Lockhart, TX as a Journeyman Form Carpenter. This role focuses on layout, building, installing and stripping formwork for concrete on a large commercial/industrial site. You’ll be hands-on every day: reading plans, measuring and cutting materials, assembling and bracing forms, working alongside concrete crews during pours, and maintaining clean, safe work areas. This is a project-based construction role with a typical construction shift schedule and possible overtime when needed.

What you'll do

• • Read and interpret structural and formwork drawings; verify dimensions and elevations.
• • Lay out, build, install, brace and strip concrete forms and formwork systems for slabs, walls and footings.
• • Measure, cut and fit lumber, plywood and form components; operate saws and hand tools safely.
• • Set and install form ties, walers, bracing and blocking; coordinate with concrete crews during placement and stripping.
• • Perform general framing carpentry and concrete-related prep (paving, forming edge details) as required.
• • Maintain tools and equipment, perform basic repairs, and keep the work area clean and safe following site safety rules.

What we're looking for

• • Journeyman-level form carpentry experience on commercial or industrial projects.
• • Proven ability to read and interpret drawings, dimensions and layout plans.
• • Strong measuring, cutting and general framing carpentry skills; comfortable with power and hand tools.
• • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, formwork systems and concrete finishing support.
• • Experience working around concrete pours, form ties, and paving/concrete operations.
• • Reliable attendance, ability to work full days on-site in outdoor conditions and follow site safety procedures.

Qualifications

• • Journeyman-level form carpenter or equivalent trade experience.
• • OSHA-10 safety card required; OSHA-30 preferred.
• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Lockhart, TX site.
• • Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• • Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long periods, and work at heights when required.
• • Basic English communication skills; bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
