Carpenter (Framing & Finish)

About This Role

Join a local crew building and remodeling homes across Birmingham, AL. This role focuses on residential framing, trim, and finish work — you’ll spend most days on-site measuring, cutting, installing, and finishing wood components for new builds and remodels. Expect steady, local work with predictable schedules and overtime opportunities. We pay $22–30/hour depending on experience, with weekly pay and paid holidays after qualifying. You’ll work with small teams, use common power tools and saws, and be responsible for producing solid, accurate work that stands up in inspection and for homeowners.

What You'll Do

• • Lay out, measure, cut and install wood framing, subfloors, sheathing, and roof components
• • Install interior finish: baseboards, door/window casings, crown molding, and trim work
• • Read and follow blueprints, framing plans and material lists to meet specifications
• • Operate saws, nail guns, routers and other carpentry power tools safely and efficiently
• • Maintain clean, safe job sites; secure materials and protect finished work
• • Assist with material loading/unloading, layout, and on-site problem solving

What We're Looking For

• • 2+ years residential carpentry experience (framing and finish preferred)
• • Ability to read basic blueprints, measure accurately, and use layout tools
• • Comfortable with heavy lifting, working at heights, and standing all day
• • Own basic hand tools; experience with circular saws, miter saws, nail guns
• • Reliable transportation to jobs across Birmingham area and punctual attendance
• • Pass background check and drug screening where required

Qualifications

• • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• • OSHA 10 or willingness to obtain within first 30 days
• • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• • Completion of apprenticeship or formal carpentry training a plus
• • Spanish-speaking skills helpful but not required
