Carpenter - Framing & Finish

Fort Collins, Colorado $23-$31/hr

About this role

Join a local commercial crew in Fort Collins as a Carpenter focused on framing and finish work. You’ll work on retail, office, and municipal projects — installing wall and roof framing, sheathing, doors, trim, and hardware. Expect clear daily goals, hands-on work, and straightforward leadership. This role runs primarily day shifts, Monday–Friday with occasional Saturday or extended hours on tight schedules. Safety and quality matter: you’ll follow site safety plans, keep tools organized, and help keep the job moving on time.

What you'll do

  • Set up layouts from plans and perform accurate measuring, cutting, and fitting for wood and metal framing
  • Install exterior and interior framing, sheathing, roof systems, doors, windows, trim and finish carpentry components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, submittals, and field markups; follow foreman instructions and change orders
  • Operate hand and power tools safely (saws, nailers, drills, levels, lasers) and maintain personal tool set
  • Perform jobsite cleanup, secure materials, and maintain tidy work areas to meet safety and quality standards
  • Assist in training apprentices and coordinate with other trades to keep daily schedule on track

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of commercial carpentry experience with both framing and finish scope
  • Ability to read plans, perform layout, and use framing/finish tools with precision
  • Reliable transportation to Fort Collins job sites and punctual attendance
  • Comfort working at heights, on ladders and scaffolds; able to lift 50+ lbs regularly
  • Willingness to follow site-specific safety plans and wear required PPE

Qualifications

  • OSHA 10-hour Construction card (required)
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Basic Spanish language skills a plus
  • Proven references from prior commercial carpentry supervisors

What we offer

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance options
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer match
  • Paid time off and scheduled holidays
  • Tool and boot allowance plus PPE provided on-site
  • Site-specific training and opportunities for advancement
