Full Time
Journeyman Carpenter
About This Role
Join a Denver crew as a Journeyman Carpenter performing both rough and finished carpentry on residential and commercial projects. You’ll measure, cut, frame and install doors, windows, cabinets, floors and other fixtures, using hand and power tools to build accurate, durable structures. You will also supervise laborers and apprentices on site, read blueprints and layouts, set forms and scaffolding, and verify plumb and level for all work. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, the ability to lead small crews, and the stamina to work safely in varied weather and jobsite conditions.
What You'll Do
- • Perform rough and finished carpentry: framing, walls, roofs, floors, stairs, cabinets and trim.
- • Measure, cut and join wood, drywall, fiberglass and other materials to specified dimensions.
- • Install windows and flashing systems, doors, fixtures and prefabricated panels to ensure weather protection.
- • Supervise and train laborers, helpers and apprentices; assign tasks and inspect completed work.
- • Set up and use power and hand tools (saws, drills, nail guns, sanders) and maintain equipment.
- • Verify accuracy of structures using plumb, level and layout tools; build and align forms, scaffolds and temporary supports.
What We're Looking For
- • Current Journeyman Carpenter license/certificate where required by local jurisdiction (or equivalent NCCER credential).
- • Minimum 1 year experience as a journeyman carpenter or similar role; proven experience with rough and finish carpentry.
- • Proficient with power tools and hand tools; able to read and follow blueprints, sketches and layout plans.
- • Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, work at heights, bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.
- • Strong hand-eye coordination, basic math for measuring/cutting, and commitment to OSHA safety practices.
Qualifications
- • NCCER certification (required or preferred where applicable).
- • Journeyman Carpenter license/certificate if required by state/county/city.
- • OSHA 10 (minimum) — OSHA 30 preferred.
- • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to travel to multiple Denver-area sites.
- • Ability to pass drug screen and background check; English required, Spanish a plus.
What We Offer
- • Competitive hourly pay with regular weekly payroll and overtime opportunities.
- • Medical, dental and vision coverage available.
- • 401(k) plan with employer match.
- • Paid time off and holiday pay.
- • Tool allowance or reimbursement and boot/tool discounts.
