About this role

We are hiring a Carpenter in West Palm Beach, FL to perform basic installation and site-safety work on active construction sites. This role focuses on installing safety rails, toe boards, temporary walls and enclosures, building planning tables, mounting Smartboards/TVs, and other installations that keep the job site safe and functional. This is hands-on, site-based work that requires a reliable crew player with attention to safety and the ability to work in changing weather and high-stress conditions. OSHA-10 is recommended; assistance is available to obtain the certification if needed.

What you'll do

• • Install job-site safety items: safety rails, toe boards, ramps, temporary walls and enclosures, and elevator protection
• • Build and set up planning tables, hang safety signs, and cover open holes or hazards
• • Mount Smartboards, TVs, shelving, and other equipment in job-site trailers
• • Assemble temporary decks, trailer decks, and other short-term site structures
• • Report all safety incidents and injuries to the Foreperson and Safety Leader; follow site safety procedures

What we're looking for

• • High school diploma or GED
• • 2+ years carpentry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• • Basic understanding of construction principles, blueprint/technical drawing reading, measuring and cutting
• • Ability to work in a team, follow direction from foreperson, and perform in high-stress or variable weather conditions
• • Comfort with loading/unloading materials, site clean-up, and using common carpentry hand and power tools
• • OSHA 10 recommended (assistance available to obtain if necessary)

Qualifications

• • High school diploma or GED
• • 2+ years documented carpentry experience (or equivalent)
• • OSHA 10 hour certification recommended (assistance available)
• • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• • Proof of certifications and credentials provided upon hire
