Carpenter — West Palm Beach, FL

West Palm Beach, FL

About This Role

We’re hiring a hands-on Carpenter to work on construction sites in West Palm Beach, FL. This role focuses on basic installation and site-safety tasks: building planning tables, installing safety rails and toe boards, mounting Smartboards and TVs in jobsite trailers, and covering hazards to keep crews safe. You’ll work with forepersons and the safety team in a fast-paced, outdoor construction environment. Candidates should have at least 2 years of carpentry experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a practical understanding of construction basics. OSHA 10 is recommended—assistance to obtain the certification is available if needed.

What You'll Do

  • Install site-safety items: safety rails, toe boards, ramps, temporary walls/enclosures, elevator protection, and trailer decks
  • Build and set up planning tables and hang safety signs in and around jobsite trailers
  • Mount Smartboards, TVs, shelving, and other equipment in jobsite trailers
  • Cover holes or open areas that pose safety hazards and perform general site clean-up
  • Report all safety incidents and injuries immediately to the Foreperson and Safety Leader
  • Plan and document any work outside the listed scope with Foreperson, Safety, and Management

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of carpentry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic understanding of construction principles, blueprint/technical drawing reading, measuring and cutting
  • Comfort working in a high-stress environment and in variable weather conditions
  • Ability to work on a team, follow safety protocols, and communicate site issues to supervisors
  • Familiarity with general framing, finish carpentry, scaffolding systems, and site layout

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • Minimum 2 years of carpentry experience (required)
  • OSHA 10-hour training (recommended) — assistance provided if needed
  • Proof of certifications, degrees, or credentials upon hire
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and safety instructions in English

What We Offer

  • Assistance obtaining OSHA 10 certification if not already held
  • On-the-job training for site-specific tasks and equipment mounting
  • Consistent West Palm Beach-area assignments — less travel between sites
  • Clear safety reporting lines and support from Foreperson and Safety Leader
  • Work alongside experienced crews with opportunity to learn additional carpentry skills
