Carpenter Foreman
About This Role
Carpenter Foreman needed in Rayville, LA to lead hands on site and deliver quality carpentry work from rough framing through finish trim. You’ll run the crew, set daily priorities, check layout and measurements, and make sure work meets plans and local codes. This is a hands-on foreman role — you’ll be in the field every day supervising, training, and inspecting work. What You'll Do
- • Supervise and direct carpentry crews on-site, set daily tasks, and enforce safety and quality standards
- • Perform and oversee rough carpentry (framing, sheathing, roof work) and finish carpentry (trim, doors, cabinetry, stair work)
- • Layout job sites, measure and mark materials, make accurate cuts, and verify dimensions against plans
- • Inspect completed work for compliance with building codes, specifications, and quality standards
- • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep schedules and material flow on track
- • Train crew members, document progress, and report daily status to project leadership
What We're Looking For
- • 5+ years of carpentry experience with proven skill in both rough and finish carpentry
- • Demonstrated leadership and crew management experience on construction sites
- • Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating crews and reporting
- • Working knowledge of local building codes, inspections, and code compliance
- • Skilled in site layout, measuring, cutting, and operation of common hand and power tools
- • Ability to read plans/blueprints and perform quality inspections to a high standard
Qualifications
- • High school diploma or GED preferred
- • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- • OSHA 10 (or OSHA 30) preferred
- • Proven ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
- • References verifying supervisory and carpentry experience
