Concrete Worker - Batch Plant Operator
About This Role
Join a nationwide team as a Concrete Worker focused on batch plant operations. You’ll run batching and mixing equipment, handle materials, and support crews with concrete placement and finishing. Work includes loading/unloading aggregates, monitoring mix quality, and keeping the plant and site safe and organized. These are hands-on, physical roles for people who know concrete work and heavy equipment basics. Positions are available nationwide with competitive pay (varies by region and experience), weekly payroll options, overtime, and potential travel assignments. Safety-first attitude and a solid work ethic are required.
What You'll Do
- • Operate concrete batching controls: weigh, mix, and dispatch batches to meet mix specs
- • Load and unload aggregates, cement, admixtures, and delivery trucks safely
- • Support field crews during placement and finishing, including pumping, vibrating, and smoothing
- • Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on batching equipment and conveyors
- • Monitor mix consistency, slump, and temperature; apply curing and protection methods
- • Maintain site cleanliness, follow safety procedures, and complete paperwork/logs
What We're Looking For
- • Hands-on experience with concrete batch plant operations and mixing processes
- • Proven ability with concrete placement/pouring, formwork support, and finishing tasks
- • Comfort working around heavy equipment and performing basic maintenance
- • Ability to load/unload materials and perform site clean-up and general construction labor
- • Able to follow mix designs, read basic batch tickets, and keep accurate logs
- • Physically fit for lifting, climbing, and working outdoors in varied weather
Qualifications
- • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; CDL or DOT card a plus if driving
- • OSHA 10 (or 30) preferred; plant/operator certifications a plus
- • Forklift or heavy-equipment certification helpful
- • English required; Spanish or other language skills helpful on multi-lingual crews
- • Able to pass drug screen and background check when required
