This job is physical, outdoors, and steady work for people who know how to handle concrete tools and stay on schedule. Pay ranges $18–26/hr DOE, with overtime when available. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday with occasional Saturday work. You’ll work with hand and power tools, set forms, screed and finish concrete, and keep the site safe and clean. Reliable attendance and a good work ethic matter more than a fancy resume.
What You'll Do
- • Set and brace forms, place rebar, and prepare subgrade for pours
- • Mix, pour, screed, and finish concrete for sidewalks, driveways, slabs, and curbs
- • Operate hand and power finishing tools (bull float, trowel, edger, jointer, power screed)
- • Read simple layout stakes/levels and follow foreman plans for slopes and elevations
- • Clean and maintain tools and equipment, handle site cleanup, and perform basic concrete repairs/patching
What We're Looking For
- • 1–3 years hands-on concrete or flatwork experience preferred
- • Able to perform heavy physical work: lift 50–75+ lbs, kneel, squat, and work on your feet all day
- • Familiar with finishing techniques (troweling, edging, broom finish) and basic formwork
- • Reliable transportation to job sites in and around Carrollton, GA and punctual attendance
- • Willingness to work outdoors in heat, rain, and cold; follow safety rules and wear PPE
Qualifications
- • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites
- • OSHA-10 or equivalent safety training preferred (can be completed on hire)
- • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- • Basic English for reading instructions and safety signs; Spanish-speaking crew members common
- • Previous concrete apprenticeship or trade school coursework is a plus
What We Offer
- • Competitive pay $18–26/hr depending on experience; overtime pay when worked
- • Weekly pay with direct deposit or pay card options
- • Tool allowance or basic hand tools expected; larger equipment and PPE provided
- • Paid holidays and paid time off accrual after qualifying period
- • Opportunities for cross-training, skill advancement, and higher pay with added responsibilities
