Concrete Worker

About This Role

Hard-working concrete worker needed for residential and commercial flatwork in Huntsville, AL. Expect hands-on forming, pouring, finishing, and cleanup on local job sites. Work is mostly day shifts with possible overtime; reliable attendance and a strong work ethic are required. This is physical work in all weather. You’ll work with small crews, follow jobsite safety rules, use hand and power finishing tools, and help keep the site organized. Pay is based on experience and skill level; travel is local so no long-term travel required.

What You'll Do

  • Lay out, build and strip forms for sidewalks, driveways, curbs, and slabs
  • Mix, place, level and finish concrete (hand trowel, bull float, float, broom, edging)
  • Set anchors, dowels and control joints; perform saw cutting and patching as needed
  • Operate basic powered equipment: concrete saws, mixers, plate compactors, and power trowels
  • Clean and maintain tools and jobsite; follow safety protocols and assist crew where needed

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ years hands-on concrete experience with flatwork and finishing (resume or references helpful)
  • Able to read basic layout marks and follow simple plans or foreman instructions
  • Comfortable with heavy lifting (up to 60 lbs), kneeling, bending and standing for full shifts
  • Use and maintain hand and power tools safely; basic measuring skills (level, tape)
  • Reliable transportation to Huntsville job sites, punctual, drug-free, and able to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • OSHA 10-Hour Construction card preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Basic English for safety communication; Spanish-speaking ability is a plus
  • Current First Aid/CPR preferred
  • Willingness to complete site-specific safety orientations and training
