Concrete Finisher

About This Role

Join a crew in Atlanta, GA as an experienced concrete finisher working on government and commercial projects. You’ll handle concrete placement, troweling, finishing, curing and protection, working outdoors and on active job sites. This is a per-diem position paying up to $25/hr. We’re open to workers willing to relocate and offer steady project-based work with travel/per diem paid where applicable. Strong hands-on skills, the ability to read plans, and a focus on quality and safety are required.

What You'll Do

• • Place, spread, level and finish concrete using hand and power tools (trowels, floats, screeds, edgers)
• • Set forms, screed and bull float slabs, and perform final troweling and texturing for flatwork and slabs
• • Handle concrete mixing, placement, consolidation and finishing to meet specs
• • Ensure proper curing, protection and joint work to prevent cracking and ensure durability
• • Read and interpret construction drawings and layout grades, forms and reinforcing locations
• • Maintain jobsite safety and quality standards; clean and maintain tools and equipment

What We're Looking For

• • Proven concrete finishing experience on commercial or government jobs (preferred 2+ years)
• • Skilled with placement, troweling, finishing, jointing and surface texturing
• • Experience with concrete reinforcing (rebar, wire mesh) and placement coordination
• • Knowledge of concrete curing, protection methods and mixing practices for different conditions
• • Able to read and interpret construction drawings and follow verbal instructions
• • Comfort working in extreme heat; experience with cold-weather practices a plus

Qualifications

• • Fluent in English and Spanish
• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
• • OSHA 10 (or OSHA 30) preferred but not required
• • Concrete finishing or trade certifications a plus (NCCER, trade-specific certs)
• • Willingness to pass background check and drug screen if required by project
