Concrete Finisher

About This Role

Join a team handling industrial and commercial concrete work in Nashville, TN. This role focuses on placing, finishing, and repairing structural and flatwork concrete — walls, beams, floors, sidewalks, curbs, and slabs. Work is hands-on and physically demanding; you’ll use a range of hand and power tools to produce quality finishes on schedule. We’re looking for candidates with several years of concrete finishing and formwork experience who take safety seriously, can read basic drawings, and are ready for steady local industrial/commercial projects. Drug-free workplace and adherence to all safety protocols required.

What You'll Do

• • Prepare, set, align, and strip concrete forms for walls, beams, floors, sidewalks, curbs, and foundations
• • Mix, place, consolidate and finish concrete using hand tools and power equipment (floats, trowels, screeds, power trowels, saws)
• • Cut expansion joints, patch voids, point and repair concrete structures, and apply curing procedures
• • Perform formwork carpentry, set anchors and embeds, and ensure correct elevations and slopes
• • Read basic drawings/layouts and follow project specifications and quality standards
• • Maintain clean, safe work areas; perform site cleanup and follow all safety and drug-free workplace policies

What We're Looking For

• • 3+ years industrial or commercial concrete finisher/cement mason experience preferred
• • Proven ability with concrete formwork, placement, finishing, curing, and concrete repair
• • Comfortable using hand and power finishing tools and saws; able to perform basic form carpentry
• • Able to stoop, bend, stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• • Read and interpret basic plans/layouts, follow verbal and written instructions, and work as part of a crew
• • Must follow safety protocols and maintain a drug-free work environment

Qualifications

• • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites
• • OSHA 10-hour preferred (OSHA 30 considered a plus)
• • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• • NCCER or trade certification, flagger card, or other concrete/construction credentials a plus
